These exo-scouts were useful in the exploration of newly discovered planets. A mobile laboratory with legs, they could categorize plant life, animal life, landmarks and planetary resources. Pictured here is one of the earliest designs exploring the planet Aridulus. These early exo-scouts used legs for mobility, they were soon supplanted by exo-scouts that employed inertial propulsion that were far more versatile.
