Charted in the 2080's, Aridulus was the second exoplanet found that harbored life, albeit primitive. Perhaps because of it's dry climate, most of this life was small and rugged consisting of burrowing mammal-like animals and tough sagebrush-like plants. Aridulus is a relatively dry world, with only 20% of it's surface covered with water. Even though it was a desert climate, the temperature was mild and the weather was calmer than Earth's. This planet provided a relatively safe place for the first colonists from Earth, with it's striking and spectacular desert landscapes and even beautiful beaches on the few bodies of water on it's surface. Aridulus eventually became the favorite place for hoverbike racers because of it's numerous and spectacular pyres and rock formations that characterized it's many deserts.
