Baliares was one of the most promising exo-planets surveyed in the initial expansion. It possessed  numerous large seas with

extraordinarily large rivers over 100 km across interconnecting them  that provided a system of  intricate waterways that made ship

navigation across the entire planet possible. The planet contained hundreds of  lesser continents that sustained a rich and diverse

ecology. This planet rivaled Portus in the number of colonists that lived on it, providing a world rich for exploration of it's small

continents and countless small islands that resided on it's numerous seas and rivers. Each sub-continent and numerous islands

provided  unique fauna and animal life that maintained a separate existence from the other land masses.
